Open house at the NCSU vet school with skeletons and stuff

We wrote earlier this week about our visit to the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine open house last Saturday and how we met a very cool hero. Besides that, there was a tour of the Terry Center, one of the most advanced veterinary hospitals in the nation, and activities for kids, like the Teddy Bear Suture Clinic. There were a lot of critters too, of course, and for adventurous city slickers, the chance to milk a cow by hand. Not to be missed was the fistulated steer – remarkable! The school boasts a large public accessible library and in the lobby, quite the collection of animal skeletons.

Here’s some pictures, and if you ever get the chance to visit Raleigh, NC, make a stop by the school. The grounds and teaching hospital and clinic are impressive.
