Happy Trails for riders and the Tennessee Gas Pipeline project

Equestrians are sending letters of thanks for the extensive trail improvements made by the Tennessee Gas Pipeline.

From NorthJersey.com:

It might come as a surprise but there are people who are outspoken fans of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline project, Councilwoman Ada Erik said at the Feb. 22 Township of West Milford Council meeting. To prove her point, Erik read two letters sent to her from equestrians who routinely ride their horses over the trails created through the work of the Tennessee Gas pipeline construction project through the township.

“Mom said I should write this note to you,” wrote 11-year old Becky Thomas of the Bronx, N.Y. “We board our horses in Newfoundland and get to ride on the best trails anywhere. We used to board (our horses) in Sussex and it was nice there but here is so much prettier. You have new fields to ride on that are just awesome.”

“My Mom says they are not just fields,” continued Thomas in her letter. “They’re called the gas pipeline and they bring gas to this part of New Jersey. I think you’re pretty lucky to get the gas that way but you’re really lucky to get the fields. I wish we had fields like yours but where I live we just have buildings.

Erik also read a letter from a Brooklyn, N.Y. woman who also likes riding her horse on the pipeline path.

“Now that the Tennessee Pipeline people are done those pipeline travels are like WOW!” continued [Valerie] Pacos. “Those big wide grassy fields just blow you away with the vistas and the birds. We were told that come spring the grass will be alive with wildflowers. Please give my thanks to the pipeline people for making the trail system even better than before.”
